New Evening Lecture Series for Olympic Year

Over the last few years St Olave's has proved itself an inviting venue for lectures and 2012 is to be no exception.
Starting on 16 January and running every month until 2 July, we will be hosting supper lectures with Graham Fawcett under the title Seven Olympians. The ancient games at Olympus gave a place for artists and poets to celebrate the achievements of athletes. In this Olympic year we are seeking in turn to honour seven poets who can fairly be regarded as being of Olympic stature, representative of the best of their respective cultures and recognised on the world stage.
Each lecture will focus on a different poet and, as with our previous lecture series, there will be food and drink included in the admission price.
