Services at St Olave’s

Everyone is welcome to attend our regular services, which are conducted using contemporary Anglican liturgies and take place at the following times (except during August, when the church is closed):

  • Sunday Holy Communion: 11am on the first and third Sunday of every month. There is also a children’s programme that takes place alongside this service.
  • Tuesday Holy Communion: 12.30pm every Tuesday
  • St Olave’s Day: A short service for all the family at 4pm on the nearest Sunday in July to St Olave’s Day (29 July), followed by a tea party in the churchyard.

Please note that there are usually no services in the weeks after Christmas and Easter or during the month of August.

From time to time details of special services will be posted on our News page.

Christian courses

From time to time we will be running the following courses and details of current courses will appear on our News page. In the meantime you will find some general information below and do please let us know if you wish to be informed directly of the next appropriate course.

Alpha

Explore the meaning of life. Alpha was developed by Holy Trinity Brompton and provides an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over a few weeks.

We  run the course periodically at St Olave’s. Please do let us know whether you would be interested in attending a future course. You might also like to visit the official website at www.alpha.org.uk for further details.

The Marriage Course

The Marriage Course is a series of eight sessions designed to help any married couple strengthen their relationship. It gives an invaluable opportunity for each couple taking part to spend time together looking at the important issues in their marriage.

The course is very practical and will help provide the tools needed to build a healthy marriage that lasts a lifetime. Each week participants are given the opportunity to enjoy a special meal together and listen to a talk. Then there is plenty of time to discuss the topic as a couple. There is no group work involved at any stage of the course.

The course was designed by Nicky and Sila Lee of Holy Trinity Brompton in 1996 and further information may be found at www.themarriagecourse.org
